Most of my family and friends know that I am searching for a new job and new location. I have recently applied for a position in Virginia. They have a cool chamber and wonderful programs. I know that the Lord has a place for me, but I know in my heart it is not where I am. I know that every community is being effected by the Economy and we are certainly no different. However, we are the "Bedroom" community for our county with a High Tech Corridor and the largest brainpower in the US. With that being said, we have 6,600 homes in foreclosure and this past 12 months we have lost 68 chamber members because they have gone out of business.
I sure wish I had an answer to help my community, but I am at a loss. If anyone has ideas, PLEASE share them.
I hope all of the other communities are not this bad. One thing about it, there is no bail out package for non profits :)
